Chiropractic Treatment Patients Miss Less Work
Dr. Nowak treats many people from the South Buffalo community that are hurt at work. According to the National Safety Council, the most routine kind of work injury is musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), which include trauma to the muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments and joints. MSDs account for more than one third of all workplace injuries.
The most usual type of MSD is a strain, which is an injury to a muscle or tendon. Strains can be caused by lifting, pushing or pulling too much weight, or by doing repetitive movements. Other typical MSDs involve carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis and back issues.
These injuries can be prevented by using correct lifting techniques, taking frequent breaks and using ergonomic devices. Employers can also help put a stop to injuries by providing their employees educational sources on avoiding these injuries.
